I have hit the road. The house and most of my belongings have been sold. When I was a young boy I often wondered what the life of a hobo would be like. I imagined riding the rails. I did not follow that path but I have retired and the appeal of traveling full-time is still with me.
I have purchased an RV and I am now traveling the roads of North America. I do not want to limit myself to the U.S.. There are many appealing places in Canada that I want to see. My passport is in hand. And so it begins.
Everyone has different tastes, different requirements, and possibly compromises that will affect their choice for an RV. I am traveling alone. I have no ties except for my desire to stay in touch with family and friends. I researched RVs and landed upon the Renegade Villagio 25′ 25QRS model. You can see the floor plans on the Renegade site. http://www.renegaderv.com/villagio-floor-plans I toured the manufacturing center and spoke with one of the reps there. They had a few models on the factory lot available for purchase.
I could not buy directly from the manufacturer but I met with a sales rep from Holland Motor Homes located in Holland, MI.. We agreed on a price for the new 2016 model. it has plenty of space for two people and can accommodate three comfortably if a visitor should stop in. It is even more spacious for me.
My first trip started from Lambertville, Michigan on Wednesday June 21, 2017. This is a detail of my experiences. I hope that it helps others and if there are any questions I will try to answer them or find an answer. Thanks for joining me.
